The trail is mostly singletrack, with lots of loose rock. The trail varies from hard-packed dirt, to loose rocks, to technical twisting trail. It is a variation of different types of surface.
The trail begins from a parking lot below the Summit parking lot. If you come down from the very top parking lot, it is a big parking lot on the left. As you enter the parking lot, the trail starts on the left, and is marked Summit Trail.
